The Toucans Steel Drum Band has been thrilling audiences throughout the Pacific Northwest for over 13 years. This dynamic 4-piece group features all-acoustic Steel Drums and a drum set, and plays Caribbean calypso music, Jamaican reggae, and popular tunes, standards and favorites as well.

Technical Info:

The Toucans Steel Drum Band is a group of four performers with all-acoustic instruments, 3 sets of pans and a drum kit. No electrical power is necessary, as they have no amplifiers or microphones.

The band requires a minimum of 10' x 12' for setup. The area must be flat and level (no sand, gravel or bark), and as the steel drums can go out of tune in direct sunlight, a shady area or a canopy (min. 10' x 10') will be required for sunny outdoor performances.

The band will set up 30 to 45 minutes ahead of the contracted performance time. No sound check is necessary.

For stage performance situations where the sound system is provided by the presenter, refer to the group's stage plot below for a visual representation of their set up and microphone requirements.
