Nueva Era

Nueva Era brings you genuine Afrocaribbean rhythms played by some of the best professional musicians in the area. Featuring a variety of music including salsa, merengue, cumbias, boleros, chachas, latin jazz and bossas, the group performs hits of today and classics of the past in a lively presentation. This thirteen piece ensemble features full horn arrangements including bari and alto sax, two trombones, two trumpets in addition to a strong rhythm section of piano, bass, timbals, congas, bongos and maracas. The lead singers provide a strong vocal sound and are a joy to watch as they dance to the rhythms the band lays down.

Steve Guasch formed Nueva Era in 1998. Steve's outstanding percussion playing has been greatly recognized throughout the Northwest, New York and his native land, Puerto Rico. The orchestra is energetic, versatile, fun to watch and dance to, and works well in all kinds of settings including gala events, concerts, festivals, weddings, casinos, conventions and more.
