Happy Hans Band

[Happy Hans Band]

The Happy Hans Band has been performing their lively brand of Oktoberfest music for over twenty five years.

Happy Hans Sr. was born in the small village of Lanersbach, in the Tyrolean Alps, where he grew up singing, yodeling and playing Austrian tunes. Although Happy Hans Sr. is no longer with us, the band continues the tradition under the leadership of Happy Hans Jr. Hans Jr. began performing in his father's band at the age of eleven, and has continued on to this day. He is multi-talented with his ability to play the trumpet and button-box accordion, and his yodeling is truly incredible!

Drummer, Rolf Sellhast, comes from Kassel, Germany and is responsible for the solid, happy beat of the band. The steady sound of tuba and bass are provided by Bert MacDonald who is originally from Minnesota. Kory Tideman, on the button-box accordion, adds harmony to the group with his rich Scandinavian background.

The Happy Hans Band is perfect for fairs, festivals, concerts, and private events. Complete with brightly colored authentic costumes, the Happy Hans Band excites audiences of all ages!

Some of the songs you may hear include:
Harmonika Hansl, Herz Schmerz, Schau Das Alpengluhn, Herzbua, Der Paul Und Sein Gual, Forever And Ever, A Waldbua Bin I, Spiel Mir Eine Alte Melodie, Glocken Der Heimat, Von Den Blauen Bergen, Melodia, Siren, Karwendel Lied, Ich Wart Auf Dich, Ubern Wolfstoa, Say Thank You Dear, and many more!
