Ed Hartman and the Olympic Marimba Band perform a variety of music including Calypso, Salsa, Mexican, Samba, Jazz, Funk, Fusion, Rock and African. These musical styles from around the world are performed on a stunning 7 1/2 foot long Honduras Rosewood Marimba! Additional instrumentation may include vibraphone, timbales, congas, sax, flute, trumpet, clarinet, keyboards, guitar, bass and drums. Depending upon budget and size of event, combinations are available from 1-8 players.

Ed Hartman has performed and recorded with Eric Tingstad and Nancy Rumbel (Narada), Ellipsis (Flying Fish) and many other nationally known artists. His albums, The River, and Marimbells of Christmas, have gained national critical acclaim and have been charted on radio stations across the country. His compositions have been commissioned by such organizations as the Whistlestop Dance Company, Co-Motion Dance Company, and the Adler Planetarium in Chicago. Ed has performed at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in NYC. As a music educator, Ed is a YAMAHA clinician and has written books and articles on rhythm and percussion, and published compositions and arrangements for mallet instruments.
