Down To The Wire

Down To The Wire performs Bluegrass, Folk and Americana music featuring favorite standards and original compositions, with hot instrumental solos and a smooth blend of vocal harmonies. Armed with fiddle, mandolin, guitar, banjo and upright bass, this band has charisma and a wide audience appeal.

The group appears at local fairs, festivals and venues in the Puget Sound Region. They have also performed for concerts, weddings and private or corporate parties. They know how to keep an audience interested, and their shows are always exciting and fun!

Lead vocalist, Jeff Ramsey, plays guitar and mandolin and has a long history of playing with bluegrass bands around the Northwest. He is a terrific vocalist who sings bluegrass with the spirit and energy of a true bluegrass believer.

Violinist, Barbara Collins, is a master bluegrass and western swing fiddler who is equally at home with country, swing, jazz and classical styles. She also provides the kind of exceptional vocal harmonies that breathe new life into great songs.

Bassist, Mick Nicholson, really swings on the five string stand-up bass. Mick has studied jazz for over thirty years and was one of the original members of the Navy bluegrass band, Country Current. He has played in the White House and for the King and Queen of Sweden.
