And what interesting tunes Catwalk is coming up with! Rather than fitting predictably into an easily categorized bag, the band's repertoire shows a remarkable expressive breadth, moving from nasty blues grooves to sparkling bossas, impressionistic forays to eerie film noire evocations. Add to these tunes the stellar instrumental and interpretive skills of Messrs. Elliott, Miller and Moran combined with an outgoing performance style that draws an audience into the music, and you have the exciting sensory treat that is Catwalk.
John Miller (Guitar) -- John is Catwalk's one-man rhythm section, providing the harmonic underpinning of a piano, the moving bottom of a bass, and the motor impulse and groove of a drummer. The intense focus and energy John brings to his role provides a stimulating backdrop for Tom and Paul's solos as well as having entertainment value--he enjoys playing and it shows.
Tom Moran (Mandolin) -- Tom catches your ear right away with the sheer beauty of his sound--a rich, singing tone with none of the brittleness you sometimes encounter on the mandolin. As you continue to listen, you'll notice the elegance and originality of Tom's soloing--he really does not sound like anybody else.
Paul Elliott (Violin) -- Paul is blazing some new trails with his approach to jazz violin, combining the technical resources of a classical background with a horn-like approach to line and phrasing. His years of experience improvising in different styles have made him the session fiddle player of choice in Seattle, and his study of composition translates in the best possible way into some heady writing

rather tinny, like an old pocket transistor radio. This is not a flaw of the recordings or of the artists).
