The Blue Flames

Steve Bailey, leader and founder of the band, is a veteran performer. A master vocalist, blues harp (harmonica) and slide guitar player, Bailey is a showman and a talented musician. As a teacher, he has written a definitive guide on how to play blues harmonica. He has studied the blues as well, and is on the board of directors in Seattle, Washington for "Blues in the Schools." He began his career in 1966 and in the early 70's discovered his love of blues which is still so strong today. He has performed with many bands, including the legendary Isaac Scott Blues Band where he performed for 7 years before forming The Blue Flames.
The Blue Flames have released a number of albums in the Northwest and they are one of the more popular bands in Seattle's strong blues scene. They also perform at festivals and, in the last two years, have performed in Holland, Belgium and Israel. With a strong following and an excellent show, The Blue Flames have a great time performing and it shows!
Awards: "Best Harmonica" from the Washington Blues Society. Steve has received numerous nominations, including "best blues writer" and "best album."

The Blue Flames play a wide variety of original music based on blues and R & B. In addition, they play covers of older blues, more contemporary blues, soul, Motown, etc. They have learned many "favorite songs" for weddings, and can play many styles.
